Q - Do you appraise?
A - We do evaluations for insurance
purposes only on the items purchased at Blocher's. We recommend having
your fine jewelry pieces checked and cleaned at least once a year, as well
as having your values updated to stay current with market prices. It
is always best to get an appraisal from the place of purchase, if possible,
because the seller has the greatest knowledge of the piece you are appraising.
Q - Do you do jewelry repair?
A - We do jewelry repair
and we change watch batteries. However, the majority of jewelry repair is not
done in house, but we do have a local benchman, who does fabulous work, both
repair and custom. We do change watch batteries in house, if possible.
Q - Do you do engraving?
A - Yes we have an engraver who
does marvelous work, both machine and by hand. Engraving is not done in
house. Machine generally takes 5 days or less, while hand engraving
take 2 - 3 weeks. Some of our products, however, can be ordered from the
manufacturer already engraved.
Q - Do you do repair silver?
A - We have a wonderful
source for repairing broken pieces of silver, and resilvering pieces that have
worn over time. This is something that takes time, so give us about 30 days.
Q - Do you buy jewelry?
A - We will make an offer on
jewelry depending on the piece and demand.
Q - Do you buy gold?
A - We buy precious metals
including platinum, gold and silver. We offer cash or store
credit for precious metal value based on current market
prices.
Q - What are your price ranges?
A - We cover all price
ranges from $1.35 for a votive candle, $10 for a silver chain, $80 for a pair of
gold earrings, and on and on, with the sky as the limit! Dream Big...
Q - Do you ship?
A - Yes we do ship anywhere in the
world. Your preference, but we usually ship USPS, insured mail/Priority, or
Registered Mail, depending on the value of the piece.
Q - Do you gift wrap?
A - Yes, we wrap, for any and all
occasions at no charge.
Q - Do you do deliver?
A - Yes, we do deliver, locally
(The Ellwood City, New Castle, and Beaver Valley Area) for no charge.
Q - Do you have a bridal registry?
A - We do Bridal
registry for any brides, we also do wish lists for our customer's for reference
when it comes gift time. We will be happy to assist you as you make your bridal
choices, and we have access to tabletop and whatever else you would like to
fulfill.
Q - Do you have sales (clearance)?
A - We don't run
regular weekly sales like the department stores. Blocher's doesn't play the
pricing game, however, we do have a number of what we would like to call "Old
Friends" which are pieces of jewelry and giftware that need new homes. Once in a
while we have sales on particular items for a particular holiday or season,
including Sidewalk sales and we have our annual Holiday Open House, where we
offer a percentage discount.
Q - Do you offer insurance?
A - We do stand behind our
products, but we encourage you to insure those pieces that are important to you
or carry a larger price tag. We love the insurance product that Jeweler's Mutual
offers and we will be happy to help you fill out the forms. Their pricing is
very competitive and they handle claims like a breeze.
